Our custom-designed Y-front style hybrids are specially made to fit your dog comfortably, while the permanently attached cape adds extra functionality and style. With a variety of creative designs to choose from, our harnesses are as beautiful as they are practical. The Y-front style of the "Big Lou" hybrid is designed to be non-restrictive, so your dog can move freely without any added strain. The harness features a padded chest and belly strap, along with adjustable straps to ensure the perfect fit.
*If you don't choose embroidery, The "Big Lou" will come with loop tape, allowing you to add patches of your choice. Additionally, zippered pockets can be added on request to store essentials like treats, waste bags, or medical supplies.

This harness is the very first style of service dog gear we learned how to make, and it remains one of our most popular designs. Made from high-quality materials, the "Big Lou" Hybrid Harness is the perfect choice for any service dog in need of a reliable and comfortable harness.

By following these care instructions, you can prolong the lifespan of your handmade items and ensure that they serve your service dog effectively and safely. - Regularly wipe down the gear with a damp cloth or sponge to remove dirt, hair, and debris.
- For more thorough cleaning, hand wash with mild soap and lukewarm water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach, as they will damage the material.
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue, and allow the gear to air dry. Do not wring or twist the gear to speed up drying, as this may lead to deformation.
*It is not recommended to place the harness/vest/cape or accessories in any kind of machine washer*
Placing your gear in the dryer will void your warranty and can damage your item(s).
For added protection and to keep your gear looking new, it is highly recommended to use Scotch Guard or Crep Spray at least once a month (every 1-2 weeks with heavy use).
Storage:
- When not in use, store the gear in a clean and dry place, away from direct sunlight (sunlight will fade materials).
Avoiding excessive strain:
- While our gear is designed with durability in mind, it is essential to avoid subjecting it to excessive strain or force. Use the gear appropriately and for its intended use. Do not yank, or violently pull up or sideways on the handles. This can cause damage to the handle and severely injure your dog.
